Like i previously mentioned i make my healthy mug cakes a little differently than most traditional recipes. Add the milk yogurt nut butter maple syrup and chocolate chips and mix well. Store bought or packaged mug cakes usually contain added refined sugar and other processed ingredients but this homemade version is packed with healthier ingredients.
Why is this healthy chocolate mug cake so good for you. Step 2 heat in microwave on high until cake rises and is done in the middle about 2 minutes. The most important ingredient in this recipe is cacao powder cacao is a raw and unrefined version of chocolate and no healthy chocolate dessert is complete without it.
Since my healthy mug cakes contain a lot less fat than typical recipes i microwave them on 30 power instead for a longer period of time. If you microwaved them on high for 1 minute like in traditional recipes that would result in tough or gummy textures.
